The City of Gainesville will host the Medal of Honor Parade on April 18, 2026, honoring the extraordinary bravery, sacrifice, and service of Medal of Honor recipients. The parade serves as a public tribute to the nation’s highest military decoration and the values of courage, selflessness, and duty it represents.
The Maverick Battalion Color Guard, the Sam Houston Rifles (SHR), and SHR Alumni will participate in the parade, adding ceremonial distinction and military tradition to the event while honoring those who have demonstrated conspicuous gallantry in service to the United States.
